Has anyone had any experience with Bank of America as to whether they will allow reallocation of a portion of a credit limit from one credit card to another card? I know that several cc companies will allow this -- Citibank, BankOne, MBNA, Amex, but don't know about BofA.
I combined 2 into 1...NO PROBLEM You should also be able to "MOVE" some available balance from one card to the other card...NO PROBLEM
What do you think will happen now that BOA has acquired Fleet? If you have accounts with both, will they be combined into one, or will BOA maintain all separate accounts?
Re: Re: BofA - Credit Limit Reallocation BofA will send a BofA card with your current CREDIT LIMIT Rates may be different... The day you get the NEW card you can call and ask to COMBINE THEM...I ASSUME YOU SHOULD STILL BE ABLE TO!!! The FLEET cards should NOT be any different than any other BofA cards...
Re: Re: BofA - Credit Limit Reallocation There is always a possibility that they MAY give some real great offer like 0.00% ON THE NEW CARD ONLY...then transfer some or MOST of your credit limit to the NEW CARD TEMPORARILY ... After the BIG DEAL...combine and close the FLEET (BofA) card...UNLESS THE FLEET CARD IS OLDER...OR JUST KEEP BOTH...YOUR CHOICE!!! You MAY want to even out the credit limits and keep both!?!?!? I will decide AFTER I get the new card (AFTER I SEE IF ANY OFFERS ARE GIVEN)...
