My B of A minicard is definately cool...... but that doesnt help much when within a month of receipt the magnetic strip no longer works due to being on my key ring and having heavy duty work hanging on to my keychain...

Discover Keycahin on the other hand, seems to me to be a much smarter idea.

Its protected by a sleeve, which hopwfully lets it last on your keychain without erasing the magnetic data ...

and, I think that BOTH these cards are a very easy target for theft....

Anyone here ever left their car keys with Valet Parking?

Mobil has a speedpass that goes on your keyring, I know someone who has his "exchanged" for another one while he was at a wedding and his keys were with the Valet Parking crew...

A month later he was out $1000 in gas.

    Anyone?

The $1,000 (WITH SPEEDPASS) in gas was THEFT!!!
    It should have been DISPUTED!!!
It should be covered as if you use your "REAL" credit card!!!

Re: BofA MiniCard vs. Discover Mini

I got Discover2Go card for over 6 months and I never used it. I'm afraid to lose it and it is good to look at. They offered me the Speedpass from the mail and they told me the Speedpass will automatically to ExxonMobil Gas Card. I told them No. I request BofA mini-card and they haven't come yet. I don't know when they will come. I don't like those ideas and I took it because it is free. I never use it.

The Speedpass is supposed to be protected from theft, so he shouldn't be accountable for the charges.

I shop with confidence with my minicard, because I keep my keys in my purse unless I am driving.

The valet issue, I had to leave my keys with BB when I had my car stereo installed. But, I use the same precaution I always use when leaving my car keys with anyone. I keep my car keys on a seperate "O" ring than the other keys, so if I ever have to leave them, I only leave them with the car keys. (I started doing this after watching Law & Order and the crook went and made a copy of the person's house key and robbed them.)
