    Major congrats DAVE!!!
I got the offer but didn't apply cuz I'm almost sure they pull Experian for biz cards - and got WAY too many inquiries there...

They did pull Experian (I have a personal card, but they pulled TU for that). My score post inquiy on Credit Expert is 734.

FWIW I have 9 inquiries in the last 6 months on Experian (8 before B of A) and it didn't seem to matter.

Mark LA, when I did apply for biz with BofA, they pulled TU in TX. I told them I had only been in business for one year, so I wasn't approved on that alone. :(

Nope. Be CAREFUL though. If I had read the fine print on the back of the offer I wouldn't have applied for the card.

I don't have it with me here, but the fine print says something to the effect of "If we are unable to approve your application for a credit card, we will automatically consider you for an SBA loan."

Check your mailing to see if you have the same thing.

Yes, I have a personal card. Since last July. My highest business limit was Amex @ $22,500 and my highest personal limit is a tie between Citi and State Farm @ $12,000.

DaveLV : Did you fill out the part for a company tax ID?. Did they call to verify the information?.

I don´t have a business but I have received this pre-selected mail from time to time. I wonder if I can apply for this card. I already have two personal cards with BOfA.

Re: Re: BofA Platinum Business Appr

Since my business is a sole proprietorship the business tax id is the same as my SS#. The format on their application isn't the standard SS# template, but the numbers still fit.

The application was taking forever so I finally called. They said they send me a letter asking for my signature but I never got it. The person I talked too overrode the letter and approved the application on the phone.

No other verifications were done. The only verification I've ever had to do was Chase wanted to see a business license or sales tax permit.

I went on a cc application binge last week. Got this card for 10K, BofA personal for $5K and Fleet personal for $7K but it's ok now because I'm back on my meds. <g>

Be careful about the BT offer on this card. The catch is that you have to maintain a purchase balance at the standard rate to get the -0- percent rate on the BT.

Re: Re: BofA Platinum Business Appr

Since you got the BofA Business for 10K, is that the amount you asked for on the application? I hate when applications ask questions like that. I agonized about it for about 20 minutes and finally just put down $35k which was the max the mailer said. I was surprised to get approved for the whole amount.

    First of all CONGRATULATIONS!!!!

May I pick your brain for half a sec? I'm incorporating a business now, will have a tax number in about 2 months (30 days for my Sec of State to finish the inc paperwork, 30 days for the feds to issue me an id number) If I apply for a biz account will I have to use my personal SSN (my score is +/- 560 now) or will I be able to get approved through my fed number alone. I'd appreciate any insight.

Congrats again - what a great feeling!

Although you can use a federal tax ID or your own Social Security number for the business, every card I was approved for required a personal credit check on SOMEONE (an officer of the company for example).
