I'm helping a buddy read his reports. I noticed that he has a Bank of America Gold Visa that is showing up as secured. I thought they didn't report secured cards as such? Or am I wrong? He wants to get another card to go with his two current ones. I thought about Cap1 or maybe Orchard but I don't know where to steer him. His scores are 589, 575 and 540.
Some secured cards report as secured and some don't. I guess the only way to learn how they will report is to post what cards you are thinking of applying for here and learn from other people. I have a secured card that is reporting as a regular card but, unfortunately they are not taking any more applications.
