Hi - a couple years ago Discover sent me an unsolicited card, which I never activated. I never used it. It is reporting on my credit report now, with 0 credit limit and 0 high balance. A year or so ago I disputed it and it came back verified. I was thinking of sending a validation request, since I never opened the account. On the other hand, there doesn't seem to be an negative impact of having it on the report, except just the gall of Discover to report it in the first place. Should I pursue validation and get it wiped or just leave it alone?

    Thanks

Leave it alone. If its a couple of years old and still reporting, then it will most probably hurt your credit if you get it removed. You may want to close it instead? Personally, I'd leave it open and call Discover and ask them to send me my card.

I agree with ryder...maybe it will update and show a cl...which will help with utilization %.
