    Re: bounce check-*Texas caveat*

Doc, did you explore that site? I found it interesting, this page in particular.

    http://nationalcredit.com/details.html

Nothing on it that will be a surprise to most people on here but interesting to read their sales pitch.

Well if someone bounced a check (say $500) on me personally. I'd give them 24 hours to have the CASH in my possession, or the object returned, or i would get a warrant on them.

Bouncing a check is no different than STEALING. You are taking something, and not paying for it.

People that STEAL go to jail.

I've had friends that bounce checks left and right at grocery stores because they had no cash. The would write "over the amount" to get cash back, hoping the check wouldn't go through by pay-day. A vicious cycle in their own way of "payday loans". Eventually it will catch up with you..

the bounced check is all the proof they need. I dont' know about anywhere else, but when I went to court, I always had the bad check, along with certified letters etc in hand

    Wow

Wow... listen to this quote from their 'sales pitch'

Amazing... I'm thinking if they visited me with a 9 millimeter they would have much more to worry about than simply collecting a debt.

Good grief, the gun reference really exposes their mindset. In their estimation, debtors are people who deserve to be threatened and assaulted.

Despite their claimed understanding of the FDCPA, I notice they cite "the threat of legal action" in their sales pitch. I guess they didn't pay attention to that part of the law.
