Mother2, I can share my Shell card info. Maybe that will help. My card came about six months ago. I haven't used it much but it's there. The limit I got was low, $250, and I can take $50 of that in cash, if I want. Frankly, I don't remember what my interest rate is but it isn't great. I accepted the card hoping to use it as a stepping stone. Maybe later I can qualify for An Associates Visa or Mastercard. My Shell card doesn't report to any of the big three. I have had the Shell gas card for two years now and after one year I asked for a raise (from 200 to 500), and now exactly one year (12 statements) from my last request they automatically raised me to 650. Interest rate is yucky, but I don't carry a balance often. This card counts as a retail card, right?
Hmmm. I was just on the website and I thought it was both. Well, I really don't care. I can now keep my gas purchases seperate from my reg cc. I was hoping it was both so I could do BTs. Oh well.. Thanks Nave...you are too funny! LOL =oD
Chase has a Shell card that is a MC as well, and you can get a rebate or cash back - something along those lines for any purchase from Shell. I don't have that one.
