They all have me on my last nerve. Been trying to close for 2.5 months, scores from all the frigging inquiries have went from 698 all the way down to 667. I don't even care if I close on this damn thing anymore.

    Just had to vent.

    I can totally relate gib!

Building a house is a mother because you're practically *frozen* from using credit to do anything!

I'm experiencing a bank being a total butthole about seasoning my downpayment (which is a gift from my mother).

Thank goodness I had to insight to find another lender who has approved me also so if anything happens with the bank, I can switch gears and not be stuck and heartbroken.

I've been working on this house stuff since March and the house is to be done in September. The only thing that brings me any kind of joy is going by and seeing the progress.

I literally have to take myself out of the whole financial part of it sometimes.

I know the frustration, but think of the benefits and end results....focus on that and not the grief you're getting. I was going to give up too...in March when I got my credit reports. But I decided to fight for what I want...and that's a house!

    Keep your head up!

Thanks Sweetnsas. This house is a "fixer upper". If there wasn't going to be 30k built in equity, I'd have told them to shove it by now. I have a lot I can build one on, so if this doesn't get done soon, I'll get a construction loan.

gift money shouldn't need to be seasoned as long as you have documentation that it is a gift and that you are not expected to repay it.

You're right Fla-tan but the bank wants it to be in my account and look like it's mine. I don't know why this is a requirement for them.
