BT and approval

I recently applied for Amex and requestd a 2200 BT. I just found out I was approved, however the limit is only 2K. Will they just cancel the BT, or will they just BT the 2K I have available and max my card out??

I will try and call and get the limit raised before activation, but I was curious what happens in this situation.
