Hi. I am new to this site and was wondering if anyone has any info on buildinging corporate credit. Are there companies or consultants out there that can assist a company to build their corporate credit, and build lines of credit. I work for a small family-run business and was asked to do some research on this subject. I would appreciate any suggestions or ideas that can point me in the right direction. Thanks!
I recently started building my own business credit. I started with Office Max and then got a credit card from through my local bank (where I have my accounts). These caused pulls on my personal credit report, but it wasn't an issue for me. One of my clients was looking to expand his credit. He had gotten a mailer from Advanta Business Rewards. I had him apply for it and he was approved. I know he has lates on his personal CR. The limit is only $5000, but Advanta allows you to give employees cards as well as the option of limiting their spending with the card. I like their website and can check up on the card and the balance daily if I like. One of the cards I got for my business was through my local bank but issued through Elan Financial Services. It was also a $5000 limit, but I used it once and my limit was doubled without asking.
We just got a Bank of America Platinum card today. Another pull on my personal credit. but it's a $15,000 credit limit (and a zero percent balance transfer from other cards).
