Can bumpage eventually lead to tradelines being deleted? I am checking my reports about three times a week or so because I am expecting some changes in it. I'm not trying to get bumpage but am concerned that my TL's may get deleted.

    Any truth to this?

I've read on this board about "split" files that might have been caused from too many inquiries. If your file is split the posts indicate that it is very difficult (time consuming) to get the report back to its original state.

It is very TRUE! It is not the end of the world if your file splits, but it will be a hassle to get it straightened out. It took me about 4 months to get my file repaired. During that time I had no online access at all (even though I was paying for the service). It was fixed finally. Now, I am missing approximately 15 positive tradelines again. They assure me my file is not split, but no resolution as to where all of the tradelines ended up. I have a letter out to them now saying "find them or get sued." We'll see what happens.

And yes, this is a result of bumpage.

I have a 3-way (split, lol) with TU. Fortunatley, I was able to clear it up in 1 10 minute phone call. Others arent as fortunate and it takes a long time. Now, the first thing I do when something doesnt look right is call and ask..."Did my file split again" They usually chuckle.
