A little while back I visited the headquarters for Experian and TU here in southern california and wanted to share the experience.
The TransUnion building was actually kind of small with faded lettering. Talking to some people outside revealed that they don't even rent out the whole building. I ordered my report from inside and a the familiar report was printed out(same format). Not Surprisingly the glass looked very bulletproof. They allow you to dispute right there and apparently you can even have someone else submit your dispute. I also was able to dispute something even though I currently had something in dispute(they don't allow you to do two disputes by mail). Oddly enough because I had something in dispute they said they couldn't give me my current report only a copy of the one from before the dispute (violation). So not only are they unable mark an account in dispute, but also they can't give you a current report when something is in dispute.

On to Experian which took a little searching to find as they had recently moved. Experians HQ was enormous. The term 'campus was used with it and it fit! Each building was larger than the TU building and they even had a five or so story parking garage. There were numerous huge buildings A,B,C,D..etc each easily dwarfing the TU building. I went into what looked like the main entrance where there was a secretary. I asked for my credit report and the secretary told me they couldn't give me it there and gave me directions for some other address. So I say you mean in all these buildings no one has a printer, or access to my credit report?? I gave her a little more grief just on principle and then followed the directions to a very ugly industrial area not too far away. In a little office that was hard to find was another bulletproof window and again not many people going through. It was very easy to get my credit report for free--I also wanted to mention that at both experian and tu they wanted to charge only $8 which it should be by california law, while on the internet they charged me $9. Anyways after talking to them it turns out that if you dispute something there, they don't actually process it, but send it to their center in Allen Texas, so you get to shave a few days off the process. I watched one guy flip out there at the CSR because he had proof that something shouldn't be on his report and they still hadn't taken it off after a year. You couldn't pay me enough to work behind that bulletproof glass.

Anyways, I know there is an Equifax HQ somewhere around here, but I'll have to do a little more internet searching.

    The Headquarters for Experian is
and you can get the addy to the other address from there or you can just call them(just call 411 for their number) to get the walk in address. I wonder if it would be a good idea to start mailing your certified mail to this address or the address where they accept the disputes(afterall how could they complain in court, they DO accept disputes there)

    475 Anton Blvd.
    Costa Mesa, CA 92626

The TU address is the one we all mail our disputes to and they actually process the disputes there, too.

1561 Oragethorpe Ave, Fullerton, CA 92831-5217
Incidently I've talked to someone who worked for TU and she said the people handling the disputes were always talking and obviously didn't care about what they were doing...not surprising at all.

Anyone ever been to the Equifax HQ or have its address?

oh and I can't remember 100% if that is the correct address for Experian(I went to the wrong address first which was quite out of the way)--but they also have directions to the experian office at the transunion office. So you might just stop there first.

The Eq hq is in Atlanta, GA in midtown on Peachtree Street. I will try to locate the address for you (no the PO Box). I have not been inside the office, however, it is a "new" building and looks very plush. Their old building (plain looking in comparison to the new) was sold to IXL (dot.com) who did not last a year and now it is loft housing.
