If you apply online for a credit card, and are rejected, then you are given the option of receiving any credit reports used in the descision for free. But what if you are accepted and decline their offer (because the terms changed on the basis of the credit reports). I wonder is a hard inquiry, and subsequent rejection by the consumer, less bad than a rejection by the issuer? Do the bureaus record the consumer's rejection of an offer?
RE: Bureaus' record of rejecti I think: they have no way of knowing if you were accepted or declined. They just check to see if the inquiry was in the last 60 days. If so you are a go. Anyone??
