I got a preapproval for an amex business gold charge card, and I don't have, nor ever had a business. But, and this may sound stupid, can I get a business card without owning a business? The charge cards for business are like 55 bucks cheaper, and when you click I AM ALREADY A CARDMEMBER it doesn't ask for any business info. I know it may sound stupid but I was just curious
They will ask for the name and address of your business, and the type (corp, partnership, sole prop). Some people here have, on an autdit, had to provide business bank account info.
Free business checking accounts are fairly easy to get. The hard part is keeping a substantial balance in a business checking account.
