In my case having some personal cards has helped my score. It's now about 700. What's killing me is the history is too short. I have a split file that had a 0 score 10 months ago.

My plan was to get 4-5 personal cards to build the score and show payment history. I've pretty much got that now so from here on I can start going for business cards using myself as a PG.

Has anyone had luck purchasing or leasing vehicles (GMC mainly) w/o PG's or personal credit checks?

    Hello again

Believe it or not, I have printed and read this thread at least 3 times. This is an excellent post.

I have some question and suggestions:

1- Now we all know that DNB needs 5-7 payments histories to generate a PayDex. Normally this is not a big deal for most of us, regular posters with established compagnies. The ONLY hick is that each of the 5-7 vendors (References) MUST ALREADY HAVE a DNB number.

Is there anyboby out there willing to act as a reference for one of my 2 companies: NACO (dba NetLogis) and MCI Canada, Inc ?
Interested parties willing to help out, may post here or email me directly. Thanks a bunch, in advance !!!

2- Let's all build up 3 mini-directories (with Names, Phone #, Direct Links AND Min / Max CL):

2-a: Banks providing Business Credit Cards and/or Business LOC WITH PG AND Personal CR check (Hard or Soft Inquiry, please specify)

2-b: Banks providing Business Credit Cards and/or Business LOC WITH PG BUT WITHOUT Personal CR check

2-c: Banks providing Business Credit Cards and/or Business LOC WITHOUT PG BUT WITH Personal CR check (Hard or Soft Inquiry, please specify)

2-d: Banks providing Business Credit Cards and/or Business LOC WITHOUT PG OR Personal CR check

Thanks Again to ALL for sharing and for your help

    Bela,

At first DNB told me that you had to sign up for the Credit Builder they offer to get a Paydex score.

After I pressed the issue the rep admitted that if enough creditors report tradelines on you then it would create a Paydex score. I haven't heard from anyone how many tradelines it takes. It would be good to know.

    bigmon,

Of ourse DNB will push for its $399 CreditBuilder BUT you can get a FREE DNB number. If we, posters here, help each other by acting as a (and providing) reference then we can not only avoid the $399 fee but, and more importantly, we can get quick and solid tradelines.

Lets do it !!! Those of you who ALREADY have a DNB #, please HELP !!!

PS: I suggest that, for each tradeline that we receive through this thread, we honestly donate to this wonderful board $25.00 !!!

    DNB Monitor Service

I read all the info on thiese posts and thought I would give the 399 service a try. I feel it is a ripoff, but in my case it will save me money over time. I have a very established growing company, but we rarely get any decent mail offers.

Our DNB file was many years outdated. Once I added my large creditors the offers started rolling in. Got a great deal from FLeet on a LOC. Looks like 1 point under prime rate for a year. Definitely worth a try on those terms.

DNB sells all your info to their member companies. It makes the 399 fee a ripoff but for me I save money and get great offers. To think they chage me in effect to update my file to reflect my current business status and then they can sell the same info to banks and other lenders etc.

How large were the creditors you added?

All my suppliers don't have a DNB number.

The creditors I added I do huge business with. Two of them are very large companies so I was sure they subscribe to DNB. The other company I do big numbers with and he also was with DNB.

DNB really had not updated my file in many years. It is amazing hoow they can make money coming and going. Their prices are sky high.

Same here. They hadn't updated DH's file in 5 or 6 years and the PayDex score had even fallen off.

Had to start from scratch except for his "control date" and old DNB number. Now we monitor regularly and make sure we have open accounts that report monthly. PayDex is 80 again.

Same here...need to get a Paydex. Do you have to have the credit builder for a business to report info for you?

Yeah, we did Credit Builder. Had to get up to speed fast, so we shelled out the cash. But a year ago it was only $199, I think.
