    Telephone

You can call AT&T to set up a business toll free.. they usually charge $10 a month plus usage. (i.e. when someone calls you) usually $.06 cents per min.

    Call 800-222-0300 or 800-222-0400

    D & B

I now have 4 items reporting to my D & B report. I still do not have a paydex. They say it is between 4 to 5 items. Although one of the items which is my account with Home Depot states no prior payment history whereas the others do not state this. I would assume that affects the paydex score. I have two other accounts which should be reporting later this month or next should help me get my paydex.

    Shell Fleet Card

I finally have been approved for the Shell Fleet Card. I applied last night.. It did NOT give me an instant approval. I called them this morning prepared to kick some butt whereas they told me I was already approved. Very cool! $500 credit limit.

    Congratulations!!

The strange thing that happened in my (our) case was that i filled out the online app on a sunday and pressed the submit button. The message i got was "unable to process application"----because it was sunday-- their office was closed. So i said to hell with it and forgot about it.

Then, about a week later we got the card(?)

    Bizzare eh?

What other gas cards have we all been able to get?

Thanks.. I also was approved for Chevron. They gave me a $1000 credit limit. I asked for $1000 as well. I applied for ExxonMobil. They told me on the phone I was approved but all I got was a letter in the mail stating they would consider me for their secured card. No thanks. My business credit is very well established. I do not need or want a secured card.

My Experian business report now shows 5 accounts whereas my D & B shows 4. It is only a matter of time I will have a paydex with D & B. A month?

    Great! good for you!

    Now, on to other things:
How do we go about getting businesses listed on 411?

    411 listing

That's easy.. As long as you have business telephone service just call your telephone company customer service requesting to have your company listed. Mine is listed.

    411 listing

You want your full company name, physical street address, and of course along with your business telephone listed. This will make it much easier when applying for business credit. Creditors need to verify you as an actual company. This is all the verification they need. This has worked for me with the almost ten business credit cards I carry.

    Credit Builder Lite

I went ahead and purchased the credit builder lite program with D&B. I have a couple accounts.. that do not report to any business credit report so it will be worth the money invested.. :) Also the nice thing about this program is D&B will also place a positive mark on your credit file because you paid them money therefore they are a vendor. I paid $199.00 for the program.

    D & B

I have been checking my D & B file daily. There are 4 vendors reporting. For two weeks there have only been 4 items reporting but this morning, with the same 4 items reporting, my company has been assigned a paydex of 80! Yeah!

    I am excited! :)

    D & B

So I decided since I have a paydex score to call Staples requesting a higher credit limit. They put me on hold.. came back to tell me I qualify for an additional $500! Whoopee! My total credit limit with Staples is now $2000.

Office Depot declined to offer me any additional credit. Declined to even take a look at my D & B until I have six months of payments. I have three so far.

    Re: Electronics

Amazon and Sams Club are two TV suppliers that issue biz credit with good D&B scores.

    Re: Credit

I applied for the Unocal business card (the one issued through US Bank) and ExxonMobil again today. Now I am rated with D&B I am sure both will be approved. We shall see?

    Experian Business Report

I found a very cool web site tonight regarding obtaining an Experian Business Report on any company. The nice thing about this site is it will give the credit score. I believe this is a third party company obtaining Experian reports.

Thanks for the link. It's an interesting website. It even lets you know how many tradelines a company has.
