    ExxonMobil Card

I received my new ExxonMobil Business Cards in the mail yesterday. I requested a $1000 credit limit. My company was approved for a $2000 credit limit.

Just last month they pre-approved my company for their secured card program.

    Just Tires

Just Tires offers a business credit card. They are apart of the Goodyear family. I would assume their credit is extended through Citi since their personal credit card program is through Citi. I am going to apply this weekend. You have to go into the store to apply.

    STOP THE TRAIN.

I just went to the d&B website to finally get a D&B number because i finally did step 2 in the original posting. By the way VERIZON SUCKS. Took them over a month to transfer my residential line over to business. They kept dropping the ball so i said screw it, went with AT&T and within a week a got my line changed over to business. It was cheaper too!

Anyways, i went to the d&B site to get a number and lo and behold-------they want $500 smackers for it. (of course, i should have known i would have to pay something for it). It's just that no-one really said anything about that. I'm not nessesarily afraid to spend that kind of money to get business credit. And i will. It's just that no-one really said anything about that.

    Your comments?

Huh? I just went to the D&B site. The credit builder program will cost you $500! You can still get a Duns number for free without requesting them to add any creditors to your report.

There is another program they do not list on their web site. It is called the Credit Builder Lite. Since I already had a Duns number I purchased the lite program for $199.00. I believe the normal pricing is $299.00 for this program but because I had an issue with one of their employees I used this to my benefit with a price reduction.

I now have seven trade lines reporting to D&B with a paydex of 80.

    Re: Wells Fargo Corporate Card

That wells fargo card looks savory.

But anyways, should i get credit builder or should i just get the free number. Why or why not? I'm not afraid to spend the 500 bucks. I'm just wondering what is the most prudent way to go.

    Re: D&B

Has any company extended you terms that does NOT report to D&B?

The credit builder program is only good if you want to add trade lines to your D&B file from companies who do not normally report to D&B.

For example: Staples does report to D&B. Why would you buy the credit builder program to request Staples to be added to your D&B file?

    Re: Amazon.com

I applied on their web site last night for a corporate account. Said they would contact us within one day for further information. I received a call at 8:59 this morning whereas they told me I was approved for $1,500.00.

    Business Preapprovals

When this post started I think they said that when you get a Paydex then the pre approved offers start rolling in. As you can see there is some inconsistency on who gets one.

It's quite possible that Citi may have its own internal program instead of relying on Paydex.

What's strange to me is how I get invitations at different addresses to apply for Cap 1 and Advanta.
It seems to me like they are just mass mailing people with a business listing. I have an office address, home and mailbox. Each location gets these invitations.

I have yet to receive a pre approved business application whereas I have a paydex of 80.

So, are you stating that certain creditors will report to d/b anyways even w/out the credit builder program?

    Which ones?

It says (and i know not to nessesarily believe everything on their site) that you will not have a credit file if you get the number alone.

If you look back into many posts there is information about creditors who report to D&B. The credit builder program is only for people who have vendors that do not report to D&B.

We totally understand what you mean about Advanta and Capital One. We don't get anything from Citibank but Amex is the worst for us. We have been getting five offers from Amex each month for the past three months. Some of the credit cards we already have. They don't check to make sure they aren't sending applications to businesses that already have them. I so badly want to send Amex, Capital One and Advanta CEOs letters telling them how I can save them some money. The poor spreader is getting tired. LOL

I don't think you get many pre-approvals after getting a paydex and an experian score.
