I don't think there is a DUNS on this business yet. We weren't using any credit.

Okay...as suspected, there is no credit file yet. So they requested a pg (hah!) or 2 years of company financial statements. (she didn't say taxes). Probably no way around that one huh? I didn't ask if a "411" would help, we are in there!! :)

Amy.. Im sorry, I wasn't aware you didn't have business trades yet. Or at least any trades that weren't reporting. Do you have Staples? or office depot? Sorry if thats obvious, as I could have gone back through the thread and looked to see if you mentioned it, but going on 31 pages I figured it easier to ask.
Staples of course is the easiest. 411 listing is all it takes.

Home depot or Loews didn't seem to care I was using my cell phone number as a business number. But I just got a landline business number today as I was declined by Dell and figured I may have future declines without a 411 listing my business phone.
Sorry to hear the need for PG, but they did approve me with 2 tades reporting. Staples and Office Depot. and office depot is showing an erronous under 30 day late on it. I called them and they said I should have a clean payment history on file.

So it really wont take much to get in the door. If you do have Staples or OD, how long have you had them?

thats sweet kev... though I know Im nowhere near 740. Maybe one day my business file will be solid enough for a car without it. Id be happy with a 30k car or less. But it is pretty cool you can keep the 70k off your personal file.

    Amazon

After being declined by Amazon because of the new address issue, I faxed them my lease last night and this morning had an email saying my account was activated.
$1500. Not the best, but I noticed more people start out low with them than high. guess I need to go buy something to get it reporting.
I should expect to have a Paydex by April hopefully.

Yesterday Shell and Union 76 sent a preapproved offer for the gas cards. Wells Fargo sent me an invitation for a Loc. All this in a few days time so I'm guessing I must have some sort of score that's high enough to trigger their minimum requirements.

Cool. Does your LOC offer ask for a PG or SSN?

I'm not gonna do the LOC because they want a PG and ask too many questions about personal bank balances. It also has a $300 annual fee with a rate of 7% maybe more depending on the score.

$300 annual fee? youch! PG sounds typical. Funny how these companies will throw a $15K credit limit at you on a specific store card with as little as a healthy paydex or high credit mark, but they want you to jump through a dozen more hoops to get that on a LOC. pretty funny. or frustrating depending on how you look at it.

    Home Depot question...

When I got mh HD revolving acct, I then applied for the prox acct and got denied (or at least told I would have to use part of my revolving credit limit to open the prox). After making one payment on my revolving, I applied online for the prox again only asking for 3000. Got the typical code 25 and called in. They opened a prox acct right up for what I asked for.

Now I thought I read that Home Depot will report the full credit limit as high credit. Is that true? most creditors Ive had seem to only be reporting the actual high credit.
    thanks

I used some of the information on stupidscores.com to build business credit.

Since Dell will not process my application I need to find another vendor for computers. After reading about them being sued I don't care to do business with them.

FYI My Wells Fargo LOC is very expensive to maintain and the interest rate has doubled. The annual fee on the LOC is $200.00 and they don't give you automatic credit line increases.
First Horizon Bank has the lowest annual fee ($50.00) I have seen.

Kev, sorry to hear FHB denied your application and congrats on the auto lease.

    Chase Biz Auto lease

I called their 800# and they didn't mention TN. You press a number based on what state you are in, so I'm guessing they don't do biz leases here?

    So kev...did you get a porsche? :)

Can business cell phone accounts satisfy 411 requirements?

No. The reason is this verifies your business address. Why would a business solely have a cell phone? No stability. You need a land line reporting to 411 stating your physical address.

    Re: business cell accounts

A couple of Fortune 500 companies have gone entirely cellular (all employees are given a cell phone, not a land line), though I can't remember their name.

When you become a Fortune 500 company you don't need to have DNB verify who you are.
