    Hello Again,

I've added some info at the bottom from my other thread. However, I have some additional info.

Collection paid in full on Feb 16. (I know, stupid!) CA pulls hard on Feb 18. I have letter stating they will delete (see below) yet they still needed to pull hard inq??? As the debt had been paid in full, did they still have pp?

They were able to pull hard but unable to delete??? TL still showing.

Please read below and post any suggestions on how to proceed.

    Hi,

This is my first post here. Just want to say what a great board this is.

My question: I recently paid a collection and received a letter stating that it would be deleted. I am wondering if I send a copy to the CRA's, will it be deleted faster? Also, if I do send, will it just validate the item because I paid it, and they won't delete? Should I just wait and see if it falls off in a couple months? Thanks for any suggestions.

Here is the text of the two letters I received from the CA.

    1. Our office is in receipt of letter dated 02/17/04 in which you authorized our company to charge your credit card to pay in full the aforementioned account.
As stated, our office will delete this item from your personal credit profile, as you requested.

    2. To Whom It May Concern,

The above referenced claim has been paid in full.

We are under instructions from our client (the original creditor), to remove our tradeline from the credit profile of the above party.

    M. Leonard and Assoc. is not responsible for the credit bureaus' response times in reflecting this update.

Can you prove they had the payment in their hands before pulling?

Paid by credit card on the 16th. Have letter of receipt of payment for deletion dated the 16th. Have credit card statement showing charge on the 16th. Have CR showing hard pull on the 18th. Have current CR's still showing TL (with 2 different amounts).

Sue them for non-PP, but wait and be sure you get the deletion first. Then go after 'em. You have two years to act on the non-PP.

Why should I wait until I have the deletion? I already have their letter stating they would delete. If they fail to do so, isn't this another violation?

Because you will have one less thing to contend with if you sue for non PP after they delete.
    Make Sense?
