What law states that if a Tradeline comes off of 1 bureau it must come off the other 2?

Yeah, and where's the law that says the TLs should match on all 3?

    Hehe...

This is probably what Etheral is thinking:

    § 611. Procedure in case of disputed accuracy [15 U.S.C. § 1681i]

    D) Automated reinvestigation system. Any consumer reporting agency that compiles and maintains files on consumers on a nationwide basis shall implement an automated system through which furnishers of information to that consumer reporting agency may report the results of a reinvestigation that finds incomplete or inaccurate information in a consumer's file to other such consumer reporting agencies.

This is supposed to occur through CDIAonline.com

But it only works when they want it to.

There's also this one, but not clear how the poster got it off the one:

    From 623

    D) if the investigation finds that the information is incomplete or inaccurate, report those results to all other consumer reporting agencies to which the person furnished the information and that compile and maintain files on consumers on a nationwide basis.

The poster seemed to be asking what law requires the CRA's to communicate with each other, the results of an investigation that results in a deletion. Implication being a responsibility to any of the CRA's.

Section 623 applies to the DF.

If a DF finds that they've reported inaccurate info. to one CRA, they must also correct all others to which they also reported.

You're right tho. The poster didn't clarify.

    Good Catch Jodi.

Butch and Jlynn TY. I got some off by just plain old disputing. Some came off after I asked the bureaus to show me their they procedures of verification, after I sent a validation letter to the CA. I never went to court or threatened to sue anyone.

    Actually, fave Butch growling dude,

It's through e-oscar, which was effective this month, long about the 14th or 15th if I'm remembering right.

CDIA is just the umbrella organization representing the 4 bad boy CRA's.

It's implementation followed on the heels of the 4/2003 CRA ID Theft initiative or the CRA's promotion of themselves to credit police status as it should more apt be dubbed.

I know you read this thread, or I thought so, ya know the "incessant whining" thread about the loss of constitutional rights -- privacy that is, whining however is still subject to debate ;-)
