    Question:
My Sears card has a $0 balance and I havent used it in awhile. My FICO analysis is telling me that I showing *some* usage (1-20%) should help my score.

Does anyone here ever 'buy and return' merchandise just for this purpose? To get a balance showing on your CRs, and then to return the merchandise?

I am guessing I would need to time it around my billing cycle, etc.

    Anyone do this?

Some people do it for CAPITAL ONE because they REFUSE to post the CREDIT LIMIT on the credit report (ONLY HIGH BALANCE & CURRENT BALANCE)

I don't advise it...BUT you could buy a WASHER/DRYER for delivery (buy it one week before statement close date)...one week past the statement close date cancel before the delivery date...

THE BAD PART OF THIS IS THAT THE SALESMAN/WOMAN LOSE THEIR COMMISSION!!!

Then just buy it from Sears.com, and no salesperson is hurt.

That's a good idea, dont wanna mess up someones commission after they are already countin on it.

    Thanks!
