Is this possible? I applied for an account with an online broker a couple of years ago, and was rejected because of my hideous credit. I want to do a bit of investing, but am afraid my credit will make it impossible.

Are there any online brokers that don't require good credit to open an account?

Sharebuilder.com is crap. THey are too expensive to truly invest with. I would go with Merrill Lynch Direct at www.mldirect.com

You must have $2500 to open your account, but if you have that, then you will be fine. If you want to invest with less than that amount, then I guess you would have to go with sharebuilder or ameritrade. I don't remember Ameritrade pulling a INQ when I got my account there.
