Has anyone compared these two services? I'm thinking of signing up but don't want unexpected fees for transfers, etc. Any advice? Thanks in advance.

paypal unless you are charging a citibank SD credit card.

The fees for paypal are plain as day.

C2it s**ks.... There 'no charge' transfers are only if you use a Citi or ATT universal card.
My Exp: I used my Fleet CC on it, they posted the transaction as Cash advance... I dont know how they can do that, without me providing a pin number. but anyways they did... Fleet charged me a 4% cash advance fee... I should have used paypal and made the seller pay the 2.9% fee.... Thought might be useful....

they can do it the same way a bank can cash advance WITHOUT a pin.

Before joining PayPal check out www.paypalsucks.com We didn't and we are very sorry. They can freeze your account without warning and hold your money hostage for up to 180 days. There is a class action suit against them right now.
If you do sign up with them do not keep any money that you cannot afford to be without.

I've had c2it freeze my account many times. Paypal is far better (although not perfect).

I've actually gotten ripped off by an international dvd vendor, filed a complaint, and got my money back from paypal. I was suprised they actually came through on their claims of service!

(ive probably sold over 30K in paypal since day 1 of paypal opening, and only had 1 problem.. See above)

Thanks everyone for your comments! Now can you tell me why either one of them would freeze your account? What might trigger a freeze; and if so, is PayPal's customer service helpful?

I have not used Paypal for months but at the time the customer service was very helpful.

paying $400 to the same person twice in a month = citibank freeze.

they will call you up eventually (after freezing both accounts sender and receiver)..

PayPal claimed that they needed to hold the funds for chargebacks, yet we have only sold one membership through their service, the membership was for $250, they are holding hostage close to $600 dollars. Repeated complaints have yielded nothing. They are simply internet terrorists in my opinion.

I have used C2it for sending 500.00 (more than twice in the same month) same person(myself)no problems yet.

Maybe they know the other account is me also.

Paypal froze my account (can't remember why)
I called customer service and they straightened it out.
