That is the name of a company that sent my DH a letter offering to settle for 60% less than the amount due to Sherman Acquistion, L.P. We do not have any records for either company. They are extending (whoo hoo) an offer to settle the account. I have no bloody idea who these people are! I want to send a validation letter immediately, but should I let it go? Is this a scam? Has anyone heard of them? DellaAnn
Do you know what debt they are trying to collect on? Is it outside SOL? Are they reporting on your reports?
NO, we dont know what they are collecting on and no they are not on our reports. We cant figure out what they want and what debt they are trying to collect. Della
Just an idea Well, you could contact them and put them on the defensive---the sooner you start working on them (and what they probably will contact you about down the line) the better. Especially since you have no idea who they could be trying to collect for ( I assume you have EVERYTHING settled/paid), they could be trying to collect on something out of SOL. JMHO.
I have and am dealing with them. I had a paid collection from them last year. I sent a modified validation letter to them. The collection was removed from EQ, but I just found out it remains on TU. I'm going to file a small claims suit and see if that gets their Attention, L.L.C. Gib
