How's this one. CA called me at work (until recently I didn't know I could stop that). I was in a meeting (wouldn't have taken the call anyway). Rep then got the secretary to put him on with my Boss. The rep then starts yelling at my boss that he is going after HIM and his business for the money I owe them. He even had my bosses name and his SSN!!! My boss was very cool, and simply contacted his attorneys, but what should I do? I have never had any contact with this CA. Should I make them Validate, to give me some time? Sue? TIA. HUV
Sounds like a couple of FDCPA violations to me. Tittle VIII section 805b regarding third party communications is the first violation.
