    Hi Everyone,

First of all I would like to know how I can find out if a collection agency is bonded to collect in my state.

Here is my problem, I sent a validation letter to a collection agency, they failed to validate so then I sent them a stoppel. They returned a letter to me basically saying that they had returned debt to OC and where removing all derogs on my credit report. It has been a month since that letter, they have about 6 derogs and I sent validation for each one of them and they sent me the same letter for each item. Now a month latter nothing has been done and what is worst they sent me a letter triying to collect on a new account from the same OC.

    What should I do?

Here is the kicker, I beleive they are not registered or bonded to conduct business in the state of Florida.

I would go ahead and dispute with the CRA's the items they said they would remove.

You will need to send validation on the new account.

Check with your state's Secretary of State to find out if they are licensed and/or bonded (if required).

Thanks for your reply, If I dispute the items and if they come back verrified then what?

Not triying to get ahead of myself just triying to understand process. clearlly they are breaking hte law because olong with all my disputes there where cease and desist comments. I checkerd on the Florida web site and they do not apear to be licensed on this state and for what I read it is required here in Florida.

Is this a case where suing them is in order?
