I rqstd validation with a CA, they rcvd Oct 7; I then sent dispute to CRA's and my latest EQ report dated Oct 17 (rcvd due to another reason) shows the tradeline exactly as B4. Can I be safe to say that they did not and probably will not list it as "in dispute"? How exactly can I use this violation to be a benefit to myself...the debt is around $130 or so. Do I point this out blatently to them in a letter and ask for deletion of the tradeline? TU deleted the tradleine because they could not verify it. EX apparently verified it but the CA has not listed in dispute with EX either. My latest EX report is dated Oct 6. Any suggestions?
Tonyd: Probably not until the next time they update/verify (if they are allowed to update by providing the validation answer.) If the company normally reports on the 30th or 31st of the month, then they could update it on their computers for posting the next time they send the tape to the three CRAs. Remeber that the unable to verify (since verifying is considered as collection activity) is one of the reasons for interlocking the validation/verification requests. You don't want them to be able to validate within the 30 days that they have to respond to the CRAs...
