i have a ca on my credit reports, i have never heard from the ca. i would like to get this removed. so should i send a settlement/goodwill type letter? or should i send a validation type letter? please explain you response, as i am new and would like to understand reasoning behind all. (this bill is mine) its just that i thought insurance paid it. perhaps they have and the oc never reported it to the ca. so maybe i should call the oc?

    Request validation from the CA.

This is what the CA has to do to supply you with a proper validation. Is the account old? If it's old you may cause the OC to start digging up your files which would enable them to respond quicker to a CRA dispute.

I'd request validation and not call anyone at this point. A few days after sending the validation CRRR submit a dispute to the CRA and wait it out.

    NEVER call! Always write,preferably CRRR.

Contact your insurance company and determine if the bill was paid. If it was NOT paid, and you wish to pay it,use the letter linked below. If it WAS paid, and you do not owe it, use the same letter, (different option)
