    My problem:

I didn't do my CA state taxes for a couple of years, and they put 2 liens from San Mateo county and 2 from Sacramento totaling $23K.

When I did my taxes, I owed $13K and have a letter from the CA FTB stating that was my liability. I did an offer in Compromise and paid them about $1,300 to resolve the issue.

These four tax liens still show on my Transunion, but as Paid tax lien. I am trying to get them to delete all reporting or at least report the correct amount of $13K. The state OIC guy says there is nothing they can do about it and to not worry as they are shown as PAID. I am using Lexington but not getting any resulting removals and have doubts they will get them removed.

I sent the $13K letter to Tranunion asking that they be removed, but no luck. The San Mateo and Sacramento county recorders say they are just reporting as it is reported to them.

    My question:

    1) Should I just not pursue this because they show PAID.
    2) If I should pursue, what should I say in my letter.

they will not remove them, it is a valid tradeline. regardless of any deal that you worked out its public record and was reported and will remain there for the better part of 7 years.
