Same ole story, young and stupid, but it wasn't really the way of credit cards, but with charging off checking accounts. I went through 3 accounts in 6 months before any of them go reported. And for whatever reason, I decided to just ignore everything. One was calling my work and the amount was only 250 dollars and stupid me just said sure, I'll pay. Now I have another one calling work, this has got to stop. Current situation- Live in a rental house(owned by parents) so I am back in forth between my house and their house, depending on food. No phone at my house, just list their number. Mail comes to both places depending on which address they have. Alot of times I don't see mail, other times I ignore it. So, I am now getting this call, first time I talked to them, they said "would you like to clear this up" I said something along the lines of "we'll see, but i can't talk to you at work, call me at home(parents house)". They've called back a few times and I tried to return the call, but they didn't answer. The place seems real shady. I think I know what bank account it is, but not sure. I don't have any checking account/cc's right now so I can't view my credit. From reading on this forum(for about 4 hours) is my first step a validation letter? Only problem is, I don't have a clue who this company is, or what they want. Any direction? Thanks in advance, noleguy
-update, she called back and I kindly asked her for an address. she asked why, and I said to send some correspondence... she told me i had to fax it. I said, no thank you, I prefer the mail. she wouldn't give it to me, got mad, and hung up. I am typing up the letter now, should I also fax a copy???
