Anyone know of any reason that a CA would simply vanish off of my CR? I did not dispute it and it was not scheduled to come off. It was there on 05/25/2003 and creditwatch notified me that there was a change to my credit report. I logged in and NCO Financial was simply gone. I'm not complaining, but I am worried that it will come back in another form.
Hmmm, maybe the OC recalled the account, maybe they sold the account, any number of 100 other possible reasons... Be glad that if they got rid of the account, that they got rid of the notation... Most of them don't from what I noticed... I even have to dispute accounts when I'm mailed a "we've closed your account, and ordered the CRAs to delete our listing from your reports" letters. I had a CA who had sold the account at least month or so earlier start reporting after the third owner contacted me, try to figure out who the legal owner of the account is when one CA is reporting, and another one who bought it from the CA who bought it from the other CA is reporting.
