   hey guys-
   
   This may have been posted somewher already, but can't find it... how can I find out if a CA is licensed to operate??? I have a feeling this one I'm dealin w/ is not as I they have 3 violations so far!

   Depends on the state.
   
   In Minnesota call Dept of Commerce at 651-296-2488.
   
   California doesn't require collection agency licensure.
   
   Not sure about other states.
