Ok I need some help here, I got separated and my now ex, prior to the divorce being finalized, claimed chapter 7 on the debt she was liable for. I have been trying to clean my CR up as 1 account has been turned over to collections, and the others have been charged off as bad debt or profit or loss write-off. One company I never even heard of and the date opened says 6-2002. can the CA start the date opened over or does it have to go from the original account? help
