My wife and I are getting a divorce and sheâ??s doing everything in her power is seems to screw up my credit. I have the collection agency calling me (Fidelity Credit Management) telling me I owe for a daycare that my wife took my daughter took my daughter too from 10/14/05 to 12/15/05. My wife filled out the paperwork etc. & I never signed anything for daycare. Now since they canâ??t get the money out of her they are coming after me telling me â??since the child is mine, I legally owe on any debt that is caused by her.â? Is this true? I can understand if I were a co-signer or something on this debt but I am not.
