I recived billing statements from the OC thru the CA. Theses are not made up from the CA. there from the OC. theres no TL on my reports from the CA. Just a charged off TL from the OC. I have not found any violations on part of the CA, they are licensed and bonded to collect in my state. the debt is still within the SOL. The CA is asking to collect the same amount the charged off trade line says from the OC. Im wondering if i should go ahead and pay up? Maybe they well settle for less than the full balance??
If you do try to settle, try to PFD with the OC. IMO, you should never pay a CA. Besides, you say the CA isn't reporting, right? So who cares about them. I would try to amicably settle with the OC and ask them for deletion.
