I've been trying to get this medical CA to validate and they have refused... they did mark it in dispute on my reports, though. I need to get this cleared up ASAP and offered to pay in full (without validation) for TL deletions.

Their response: "Be advised that the above listed account is seriously past due. As you may know, litigation may cost additional money. Creditors seldom resort to such procedure if good faith is shown and payment is made as agreed."

WTH??? I offered to pay with certified funds overnighted to their office. Should I just go on and pay the OC? I don't want a paid collection on my reports.

    Any guidance would be appreciated!

Add Continued Collection to your list of violations.

How much is this for and how old?

Originated in 2001....for $142.30. My insurance said my only obligation was $81.30 and I faxed them that from the insurance company.

This is a CA? You have checked on the state legalities?

Yup, a CA and they're not required to be licensed in my state.

There's NO way they'd sue for 80 bux.

Add threatening suit without the intent to follow through to the list.

At this point Verb. I'd try going to the OC and explaining how THEY screwed this up. Make arrangements to pay in exchange for a withdrawel of the case from the CA.

If that doesn't work sue em - ALL.

And if they are trying to charge an amount higher than the $81 they're adding a 808(1) violation, for charging an amount without a legal basis for the fees.
