CA says will remove TL. Trust them?

Sent 1st validation letter to Park Dansan (mci collection).

They responded saying they'll remove TL from all bureaus. They are not actively collecting on this account (it's older), but that this does not mean the TL is invalid or that it will not be assigned to another CA (I should contact MCI regarding this matter).

Should I stop the validation sequence or continue after 30 days.

I am a little unclear on the general validation procedure after first letter. Does one dispute with CRA after CA's receipt of first CRRR or wait for them (catch them in violation if they don't mark it disputed themselves? I've read a lot of faqs but can't seem to find this. Any thread describe these steps without too much detail (just briefly step 1, 2, 3...)

I have yet had a CA claim they will delete and not delete. You still might want to dispute with CRA just to cover all bases and also send a copy of the letter to the CRA that the CA sent you.

What is interesting - I have received letters from a CA who amit that they no longer represent a particular OC and will delete the TL from my reports. However, only a few weeks before the CRA verified the debt with the CA. How could the CRA verify/validate the debt with the CA if the CA is no longer attempting to collect on that debt?

    Dansan Lies.

Make sure you get it in writing, or no pay.

Also - if you do send the CRA something, make sure you don't admit the debt is yours. Otherwise you're stuck for the next x years.

    thanks
It seems that their letter is basically useless.
I do not intend to pay, etc.
I am thinking that since this is not validation, I would just continue with the validation sequence and dispute via the fact that no validation was provided.

What I am unclear about in the V sequence is: whether to dispute immediately after certified receipt or wait for a violation if the CA does not mark it disputed under FCRA.

To answer your question, it's basically impossible to outline a perfect procedure that covers all situations. A lot of it depends upon you and how well you know your adversary.

In other words the most effective strategy you think would work with this particular problem, that's the one you use.

    See what I mean?

I am working a procedural analysis though.

    ok,
what I did in this case with Experian is:
After CCCR, I disputed online with reason: other: "Validation request sent."

I could have also waited for 30 days and if they did not send validation, disputed and said: other: "validation not received 30 days after their receipt."

Which one do you think is better in this case? I still have TU and EQ.
