Well, I was preparing a case against Credit Protections Assoc. and I decided to give them a call before I filed against them. At first, they said that I had filed bankruptcy and that the account was left alone. I said I don't think so. They, after sending 2 validation letters, changed the tradeline from unpaid to paid on the credit report I believe in response to my letters. Then the guy said that they sent a letter to an old address saying that they were deleting it and that it would take 6-8 weeks for it to show. Said that it was mailed the first week of last month. Yeah right. So I told him that I wanted proof of that letter faxed to me ASAP. Strange how the letter that they said they sent last month is dated for today......

    Does it ever end?

So, I am excited about this new deletion. I can't wait for it to come off!!!

Thanks alot!! I forgot to mention that I found out alot about their corporation status also that would have ensured me a win in court. I have it all in my archive so anyone who needs help against them, let me know.

file a complaint with the texas attorney general. I had the same problem with CPA. They ignored about a dozen faxes. Then they ignored the texas AG and I had a letter to prove it. That was all the ammo I needed. I sued, they called, I settled for $1000. Easy as pie and it was over in less than 2 weeks.
