CA sold debt w/out validating first

Love, I had a similar situation. Here's what I did:
Sent validation to original CA.
Got repsonse saying they will send validation info.
Got another collection ltr. Now from a different CA.
Sent Estoppel to 2nd CA. Told them I'm not falling for there games of switching CA's, and to back off if they knew what was good for them.
Got ltr through 1st CA, from original creditor, hand signed, saying they are dropping everything.

OOPS! No wonder I haven't been getting any emails...and all this time I thought nobody luvd me! It's enabled now! Thanks. Mindcrime....

It also happen to my ex. American Recovery sent him letter and then He sent out the letter for validation. Few weeks later got another letter from different CA.
