I'm looking at a website for a Collection Agency and saw this: "Background Screening: Does your business require credit reports or criminal background checks for employment applications, tenant screening or other purposes? We can provide you with a credit report from the major Credit Reporting Companies. We can provide statewide felony and misdemeanor convictions reports." Are CA's allowed to furnish Consumer Credit Reports to it's clients or any other company that requests one? According to the site, this on one "division" of it's company. I always thought if a company wanted a copy of our reports, they had to get it directly from the CRA's (just as the CA does).
