I have 3 PAID Calif tax liens on all 3 reports.

I've tried the "Not Mine" route, but only the UNPAID boat tax liens came off. HUH?

I checked with the Franchise Tax Board today and they were of little help. "Sorry, wait 7 years". Yeah, right.

I did notice that the "filed" and "paid" dates are inaccurate. I'm wondering if I can get a delete based on this or should I wait 'til the "busy" season and hope they don't comply within the 30 days.

I'd try this "There was no lien filed on "such & such a date". Worked for me on Federal Lien on EX

I would also agree with your thought to wait until CHOD to dispute again. There will only be a limited number of potential errors on the liens for you to use for your future disputes and you want to make sure you're offering something new in your dispute so it isn't labled frivolous.

I'm taking my own advice because I am intentionally waiting till December to re-dispute 2 paid and released state tax liens still on 2 reports.

As you've seen, with liens the fact that they're paid and/or released doesn't help one iota in being able to get them removed.

I've found liens to be by far the hardest of all credit repair issues we've had to deal with.

    All the best!

I have one too (it shows twice tho, the unpaid and the paid are separate--don't know why) and then a civil judgement (unpaid) I'm going to try to dispute each one separately, but doubt I'll have any luck. Other than disputing them w/ the CRA's, is there anything else I can do??

We haven't found another strategy other than disputing till they happen to slip through the cracks.

Just keep disputing only one thing per dispute, such as not mine, wrong amount, lien never filed on that date etc.

The more times you can get them into dispute without them being labeled frivolous, the better your odds of them dropping off.

Then, if the CRA does try to say the dispute is frivolous, you can show them that your dispute was different each time and insist they investigate the item in dispute.

    All the best!
