Of course, the alternative is you could just do a 3 mos or 6 mos time limit. That wouldn't be too bad either.

I think 3 months is enough...really...If you have opened new account within past 3 months it's already shown on your credit report...SO DELETE DAMN INQ AFTER 3 MONTHS...

    ahh good thoughts, all.

Now, we just need to send someone over to the credit bureaus to inform them of our decision!

Anyone have a big wooden horse we can get in with ;)

Or just do away with the entire thing. After all-- if the person GETS the loan, it will show up on his report. If he doesn't, what
    harm was done?

What about inquiries when you ask for a lower APR.
You are just being a smart consumer!
Catch 22 Get a lower rate pulled report lowers score- lower score increase rate now higher than before it was lowered.

I have a security clearance..which means every six months...inquiry on TU...who you ask would do such a thing? The government. 12 inquiries to date. That's why my TU score never gets above600...everytime it gets anywhere up there..poof..inquiry time.. and splat.. down goes the
score.. [/B][/QUOTE]everytime it gets anywhere up there.. poof..inquiry time.. and splat.. down goes the score..

1* Hay ZB don't give George all the credit for this Idea. I've been preaching it on here for months and months. Seems like when I say something I catch heck for it but let somebody else say the exact same thing and they get complemented. I don't expect any praise but folks could at least keep their snide remarks to themselves.
2* Not likely cause it's easy free money for them - nothing like theft without penalty.

1*I'm sure this is because FICO doesn't want to have to develop 3 different scoring models when one will do.

2* if inquiries were all removed what would stop me from applying for every credit card in America and heading to Mexico with one of the worlds largest cash advances (other than morality and legality)??

3*I tend to think the reason inquiries are graded so heavily is to limit the above scenario where someone is granted unknowingly more credit than they deserve.

    1*It's not a model it's a con game method "

2*Answer -The other info in a report.

3*You are thinking wrong. Truth is Inquiries are a tool to beat folks out of their money.
Also nobody can ever get more credit than they deserve.

IF "HARDS" only "HURT" for 6 months...then keep them for 6 months!!!
    GEORGE
===========================George why should any one get their insurance and loans jacked up because of a lower score during the 6 months.
George you had it rite the first time so quit backing off now.
