I have read where people around here have been calling collection agencies.

    Is this not recommended?

I'm in a bind and am wondering if I should contact the CA and if any agrrements are made to them put it in writing.

If you call...you have NO paper trail that can be used to "HANG" them...

They can TWIST anything you say on the phone AGAINST YOU!!!

I called a collection agency on the phone (5 or 6 times)...it was a "NO BRAINER"...my son ordered a magazine...ONE FREE ISSUE...didn't like it that well...wrote on the bill "CANCEL"...the collection notices came once every month for $19.95...they said they would "FIX IT"...

THE FINAL TIME I CALLED THEM...I INFORMED THEM I WOULD BE SEEING THEM IN COURT WITH MY "MINOR" SON AND THEY BETTER HAVE THE $1,000 IN THEIR HAND FOR US!!!

We got a letter about 5-7 days later, they said the "PROBLEM" is RESOLVED and no further contact on our part is necessary...
