I have done a search on MBNA and it appears that you are one of the few people that were successful in getting them to remove derogatory information from your credit report. I am in touch with someone from the Executive Office (finally) and would like to know how you worded your request and the person with whom you spoke. My e-mail is enabled so feel free to contact me using that method. I don't mean to be exclusive, if anyone else has advice, fire away. The background info is this. I got an MBNA Gateway computer loan while in college. After a bout of delinquency, I have been current for 8 months. I was 3 months away from completing a settlement offer but instead elected to pay them in full. I am trying to get the derogatory information removed in exchange for payment in full, but no go. Their settlement department was not budging, so I appealed to the Exec Office.
She worked there before getting fired. I think that is how the negative info got removed. I wish I could say more about how, but that is none of my business.
I can't even get them to increase my credit limit...6 YEARS...WAITING...WAITING...WAITING...NEVER GONNA' HAPPEN...IT WILL GET "DISCOVERED" ALSO.
