I'm thinking of applying for Chase. The problem is I have a CC that isn't updating. It's MCCBG w/a 800.00 CL. I paid it off three months ago but they haven't updated it. Other than that I have:

    Mastercard $1000.00 cl/paid never late/min. payments 800.00 (6 months old)

MCCBG $800.00cl/ paid on time and as agreed. It shows me owing $735.00 (they aren't updating) (opened since 1999)

Two First usa (closed/paid as agreed)
    Wachovia (closed/paid as agreed)
    Two student loans (never late)

My TU score is a 639

I was told that if you have a high balance showing that Chase will not approve you. Do you think I shoud apply or wait and HOPE MCCBG updates my CR?

    Thanks

    Marty-
Save the inquiry, I applied with a TU score of 684 and I got denied, if you know they DEFINATELY pull TU, you might want to wait. Reason for my denial too many inquiries, when they pulled it I had 4 inquiries.

GET OUT..!!! Well I don't know who I should try for then. Citi denied me b/c of a 3 year old CO! I haven't tried for anyone else in fear of denial. Roni mentioned that I should try for Chase.. that's why I was asking!

If not Chase or Citi.. who..??

no late payments a few open account with 15,000,5,000,2,000,1,000 I apply to a lot of companies about ten, score of 629 all payments was being paid. Don't try chase you got abetter chance with target. If you feel the need try it or just wait a few months the more you wait the better your report look if you keep up with your payments. You could also try cap one kmart card.
