I have a collection agency calling me at home and at work. I've told them not to call and will soon be telling them my employer doesn't allow personal calls and it's "inconvenient" to call me anytime anywhere. I had a recording of them stating their name, the date, who they worked for, the number they called, and me asking them not to call; but my significant other accidentally deleted it off the machine. I'm in MN, they're in MN, and MN is 1 party consent. So I'll get a new recording of them the next time they call... My question is do I need to send a C&D, or can I simply record all their info and me asking them to stop? I don't really mind them calling, but I would definitely like to have something to hold over their heads :)

    Re-record.

Send a letter CMRR to the CA that it is "inconvenient" to have them call you at home or work because your employer does not allow personal calls. Just hold on to the green card.

Then let them rack up the violations.
