Ok I have the inside track on the florida case on camco. Florida is trying to say they are not a debt collection agency so they do not need a license. Huh? anyway, I was told there is a way to help as the case against camco has been swamped with victims all over the nation. You need to write a letter telling the following 2 people about this companies practices and the abuse you have received. Also ask them why nothing is being done. You do not even have to deal with this company. You could just write saying you know people which is true that are abused and you wish they would help in stopping this practice. It costs 10 minutes of your time and 2 stamps and would save thousands of potential victims from being defrauded. If just 100 people from here took the time it could help. This could break the case against camco wide open and put them out of business. This does not have to be certified- just type it up and send it out. Please no laziness or apathy. We have helped you out and now please help others so the abuse stops. Florida Department of Financial Services Tom Gallagher, Chief Financial Officer 200 E. I often wonder what would happen if we all ganged up on one co. at once. Why not type us up a standard letter that we could just print out, sign and send.
I would type up a letter but my drafting skills are not what they used to be. My wife likes to make fun of it and would say a 3 year old wrote it. Would anyone else who is a bit more eloquent like to give it a whirl?
Someone sent me a settlement letter from camco. In it they generously agreed to not report the debt on the person's credit report if they paid them $1000. Oftly nice of them considering the debt is 14 years old and if they reported it they would violate a few laws.
