Before validation or at any time? They sent me letter the 15th and pulled my TU on the same day. I'm sending a dispute/validation letter.

    Also...they added this little tidbit..
"UNLESS YOU NOTIFY THIS OFFICE WITHIN 30 DAYS AFTER RCEIVING THIS NOTICE HAT YOU DISPUTE THE VALIDITY OFTHIS DEBT OR ANY PORTION THEREOF, THIS OFFICE WILL ASSUME THIS DEBT IS VALID. IF YOU NOTIFY THIS OFFICE IN WRITING WITHIN 30 DAYS FROM RECEIVING THIS NOTIC THIS OFFICE WILL: OBTAIN VERIFICATION OF THE DEBT OR OBTAIN A COPY OF A JUDGMENT AND MAIL YOU A COPY OF SUCH JUDGMENT OR VERIFICATION. IF YOU REQUEST THIS OFFICE IN WRITING WITHIN 30 DAYS AFTER RECEVING THIS NOTICE, THIS OFFICE WILL PROVIDE YOU WITH THE NAME AND ADDRESS OF THE ORIGINAL CREDITOR, IF DIFFERENT FROM THE CURRENT CREDITOR." Sounds like a bunch of BS to me...no one has ever been able to provide me with any proof or billings.

I have disputed this with the original creditor (GTE-Verizon) and 2 other CA's (one that just deleted). NO ONE has EVER sent me validation! DLA-5/01

A: Do I have a beef with them running a hard?
B: Do I use the usual validation letter?
C: How do I go about checking on them? They are in KS.

    Thanks!

Its not BS - its a statement mandated to be in their first communication with you per the FDCPA.

Nope collection of an account is pp.
    yes
What do you want to check? If your state requires licensing or bonding, then you would check with your Secretary of State to see if they have met those requirements.

    Thanks! [/QUOTE]
