Can a CRA add positive TL's at consumer request?

I have 2 credit union accounts that have always been reported by 2 CRA's but never reported by (guess who?) EX. Since it is a credit union, I would think they report to all 3 CRA's. I have 2 accounts with this credit union - a small persoanl loan, and a car loan - both with perfect payments. Both were opened in 1997. Small loan was closed 1999; car loan was closed 2002. That is valuable history that EX isn't factoring in. I have a long enough history without these, but more positives and more history is good. Can I get them to add these?

From what I've heard, they can offer that option; HOWEVER, it is one that you would, most likely, have to PAY for.

The 1999 loan would fall off in 2009; is 3 years of reporting worth the $? That is a question that only you could answer.

These are positive, good TL's - they won't fall off, right?

I called that credit union and verified that yes, they do report to all 3 CRA's. So why is EX the only one not reporting these positive TL's when they have been provided the information? They can just choose to not show positives?

Is that a viloation? I read the fair credit act, or at least try to, but...it would help if those of you out there who know that stuff better than I could advise just in the areas I need (please?)

If doing something easy like filing a complaint with FTC or settling out of court with EX over violations and get positive TL added, even if it's for 3 years, I'd do that. If it's more than trouble than it's worth, I'll leave it alone.

Burns my britches that I have 2 great TL's that never get reported by EX. One is a car loan, over $12,000, over 5 years perfect payments. That's a great TL that never showed.
