    I was wondeirng:

    I was enrolled in CCCS from approx. 1995-1998, but then they stopped taking my money, and I must admit that I did let this lapse. I'm now trying to buy a house, I got a creditrexpert.com account, ordered my Equifax report (which is 572 from all these accts) and noticed that on virtually every account I had under CCCS, the reported date was 2002 and 2003!! How can they do this; doesnt the FCRA state that the delinquency starts from the first day the acct went delq? Or did I interpret this wrong? I want to try And get these marks removed. Anyone know the best way to do this? Are there any sample letters for this sort of thing? Appreciate any advice (there seem to be a lot of folks that get a lot of stuff pulled)

    ==================
    2*You interpreted it wrong.
    1*The reported date has nothing to do with the delinquency date.

    It's called "re-aging" your account. That's why you should consult this board or a financial counselor before making a decision to pay back anything. Most of the time these debts are past SOL (statute of limitations) and they are close to the 7 year term that bureaus must delete the neg from your report.

    Some people panic when they see the word lawsuit or the words attachment of wages. Attorneys are paid to make you sweat but if you are a member of this board and you have been reading then you know your rights.

    Reported date has nothing do do with delinquency date. I have a Sears account paid and closed in 99 - they still report me every month :)

    Do you still have "In CCCS" remarks? Or is it other stuff you are trying to get removed.
